Have Your Say – Rollout of Food and Garden Organics Bins

The State Government has mandated that all Councils implement the four-bin system by 1 July 2027 under the Circular Economy (Waste Reduction and Recycling) Act 2021. The intention is to reduce landfill waste and improve resource recovery, and Local Councils are required to implement Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) services in alignment with these objectives.

Hindmarsh Shire Council’s Annual Statutory Meeting was held on Wednesday 12 November 2025 from 6:00pm at the Council Chambers in Nhill.

Temporary Road Closure - Dimboola Tower Park Christmas Market

Council advises that on Friday 28 November 2025 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm inclusive, there will be a road closure as a result of traffic management measures for the Dimboola Tower Park Christmas Market. Lochiel Street Dimboola between Lloyd Street and Chapel Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic for the duration of the Traffic Management Plan.
